REMINDER from Mano:

It takes time, patience, and heartful, mindful attention to build a relationship with some aspect of Nature. It is worth the effort; your life will be nobly enriched.

REMARKS from Barbara:

My conversations with Mano, Rama, and the companions and workers enriches my life beyond belief.

REMEMBERING Mary Jane:

Mary Jane enjoyed telling people she worked for a Gnome and the three of us collaborated to create a monthly Blog.

Seeing and Hearing Through My Heart

I have had friends who could see into the spiritual dimension of life, seeing angels and elementals with their inner vision. I wish it were true for me, but this is not my gift. For those of us who are not naturally gifted with obvious ability to see into the non-physical world, it takes time, heart, and consistent effort to make the connection. It takes willingness to honor what we receive and build our own way of relating.

Although I don’t see as I thought I might, or want to, I feel the presence. And can sometimes describe what I am feeling. My hearing is more a feeling. Sometimes it is a simple feeling of peace, expansion, presence. Everything is very subtle.

Now most of my communication is done at the computer. I create a conversation, ask questions, and then write the thoughts that flow through my mind in response. If I have any question about what I have received, I take my pendulum and ask ‘is this true?’ and the pendulum will respond with my established yes and no answer. If I have any questions about the pendulum’s answer, I put it all down and come back another time and ask again.

Before attempting to communicate, I create a sacred space to work within. This can either be a visualization of source light coming from the heavens above and sinking into the earth, an orb of light, a prayer, a song of dedication. Once I establish this opening of the portal, I use the same thing each time to build continuity and momentum.

My suggestion is to find a space that feels special to you, then declare your intention and desire. Lay out the ground rules, come daily. Sit or lie on the earth. This is my preference. I have a sheepskin that just supports my body with my tailbone on one end and my head at the top. Use anything that feels comfortable to you.

It is hard to make contact with the spirit world if we are not consistent, so set up a pattern to do each time, which will build the force field around you that creates a sacred space each time you come. I found thoughts came that guided me to fine tune my contact.

I have a small circle of redwood trees in my front yard. I go to them on special occasions. I always feel welcomed and loved while there. There is one large old redwood tree at the entrance to the Amphitheater. I call her the ‘mother tree.’ I always lean into her and say “hello.” Sometimes I feel my etheric body move deep inside her, feeling my feet go to her roots and my head to the top of her branches. Sometimes thoughts form in my mind as if she is speaking to me.

One day thoughts formed saying, “Come back tomorrow with your computer. Sit with your back touching my trunk and write whatever you hear.” That was the beginning of my communicating with Mano and gave me a way of communicating with Mano, the Council and other spirits of the land.

Once while at Findhorn I did a workshop on nature, and was told if I have a difficult letter to write to sit by a house plant and ask it to help. We have to be willing to making a conscious effort, to be available for a nature spirit to recognize that we want to relate.

If we come in love the nature spirits will do their part. They desire connection, but they are shy and somewhat fearful of human lack of care.

The point is: to build a relationship of love, you have to show up, spend time enough to establish contact, speak and listen. Ask to be guided. You can’t want it to just happen but never do the work to set up sacred space so it can happen. You are never going to build a relationship with nature, or meet a gnome, or hear a conversation if you don’t make yourself available.

    Hello Barbara,
Great advice and suggestions to strengthen the bond between us and the Nature Spirits.
I will set aside the same time each day to connect with them!
    Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!
