I have been taught to pay attention when my body takes a deep involuntary breath. This happens when the Holy Spirit is saying, “truth has just been spoken, or thought.” This gives me a constant awareness that I am never alone, spirit is always present and guiding my awareness.  I put .db. into the text when this breath happens.

Everyone Has A Divine Plan

It is my belief that every individual who enters the planet comes as a member of a spiritual team. The one who is born has been chosen or has courageously volunteered to be the one in the physical body, while the other members of the team stay in the spirit realm to guide, protect, inspire, open, and close doors to make it easier for the one on earth to fulfill the Divine Plan of this particular group of spirit beings.

My life is an example that it is never too late to get to the point. After meandering through many areas of interest, leadership, and service over the years, this last spring just before my 92^nd birthday, the Council gave me a simple, clear statement naming the core focus of my Divine Plan. Many of the activities I had participated in over the years fit into this plan. Somehow it meant a lot to me to have it said with such simplicity:

Your service
is to awaken consciousness
to interact with
the angelic and elemental
world of nature

From the time the Council arranged for us to move to the mountain in 1976, they opened my curiosity and arranged opportunities to study and collect gemstones for healing, study the use of essential oils, and study aromatherapy. They opened my mind and inner vision so I could meet Mano and become aware of the elemental and angelic kingdoms that live on my land.

January 1, 2004 arrived with news that changed my life. Jim had been diagnosed with cancer. Seven weeks later he moved into the heavenly realms. He died in my arms with his family around singing him into the other world. I have held the strong belief that life goes on after death. I had never thought about what happens to the one left with an empty bed and a life full of new responsibilities.

The Council moved in immediately with a vision of a new future for me. I stayed in bed with Jim for a while,then as I returned to my bed on the couch, I heard a strong, challenging voice say, “Will the Real Barbara Thomas please step forward?”  I was stunned, and then wondered, who is this Real Barbara Thomas? I had never lived alone. Who am I? Wow I have received a challenge and an invitation. This can be a grand adventure.

In the next two months I followed guidance and enrolled in two life- changing and life-long studies.  Pamela Eakins, author of Tarot of the Spirit, was presenting her yearly course, “The Fools Journey,” in Santa Cruz. It was the first time she had ever offered that class outside of Half Moon Bay. I loved it and continued to study with her for the next seven years. The next opportunity came in a magical way. This is always a sign of the Council at work. Each week tapes were sent from Canada where classes of Ascended Master Teachings were offered by The Radiant Rose Academy. These two studies nurtured, educated, and filled my time with exciting, stimulating work.

When Jim died I had a reading with my astrologer Ellias Lonsdale. This turned out to be a true oracle giving me information that explained and guided the next unfolding of my life. .db.  Everything in my astrological chart was changing; every major planet was making a transition. The Sun was moving from Libra to Scorpio. The Moon had completed her round of the houses and was moving into the first house ready to start the next round. Everything was speaking of a total transformation. Ellias said in all of his years of doing readings he had never seen anything like this.

In my next meeting with the Council of Gnomes I told them I had made a new commitment to the deeper path. I told them I felt the stars were saying the end with the old had come and everything is on go for “the Real Barbara Thomas” to step forward.

I was surprised with the Council’s response “We know, we know Barbara.  We were there while he spoke to you.  We were very present and ready for we already know what the stars are doing in your life.  We also know what the earth energies are doing as well as your own soul work.  We are intimately aware of your life and all of the workings.”

Jim and I had planned three summer months in Europe visiting Celtic Countries and Neolithic monuments in Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales. We were answering the call to return to the lands we had traveled on our year European pilgrimage in 1975.  The summer was to begin by taking Mara Freeman’s tour of Magical Ireland. Two months later it would end with RJ Stewart’s week retreat in Glastonbury, England and a week tour of sacred sites in Wales. I did not want to stay in Europe as Jim and I had planned so I broke our long trip into two short trips. We had already made reservations for the trips to Ireland, Glastonbury, and Wales so I decided to take a friend with me to Ireland and then take another friend with me to England and Wales. The Council’s focus for me was to answer the call of ancient earth energies asking my return to ancient Neolithic sites and stone monuments I had known in past lives .db. Just before leaving on the first trip to Ireland Mano informed me that he was sending a few of the local gnomes with me to visit Ireland their homeland….

Walking through the airport to board the plane I felt an energy behind me and with inner sight saw five little gnomes following me each pulling a small suitcase, just as I was doing. I thought “oh my gosh this is really happening.”  On the plane as I settled in to my seat, I again felt the little gnomes fussing around with their seat belts. When the airplane motor started all hell broke loose and I had 5 terrified, trembling little gnomes sitting on my lap shaking and holding close to my body.  With this experience I had no doubts about their reality and continued that trip aware of them off and on.

As part of the Neolithic adventure and homecoming, I traveled to Europe two more times. In 2007 on the last day of my last trip I was given the vision, inspiration, and guidance that there would be a new unfolding in my life of service. I heard the inner voice say, “When you turn 80 in August, you will start the next book of your life. Not the next chapter, the next book.”

This truly did happen. In the next few years I wrote Celebrating the Magic of Jims Road, a book about the Amphitheater and the amazing people that first lived on this land.

Next I created a DVD called Healing Burned Woman. The DVD opens with The Burned Woman’s Story, a reading of the book, The Burned Woman, which spirit had dictated through me years earlier (this can be read on my website), then tells three other stories: Barbara’s Story about my experiences with Nature, Nature’s Story about nature’s requests for support and interaction with people, and finally, a workshop to help you find Your Story.

I have presented many workshops over the years using this DVD to tell the Burned Woman’s Story: that during the 300 years of the Inquisition, millions of people were killed by burning to eliminate their influence and power as spiritual healers and midwives, those who communicated with the spirit world were killed. This scar on human consciousness exists today as fear of the unknown, fear of personal power, fear to connect with the spirit world.

As always, I follow Mano’s request to share my story and relationship with the Council’s deep heart’s desire that you too open to your own spiritual support system and fulfill the divine plan for your life.
