REMINDER from Mano:

Sometimes I, Mano, have to call on my file of “Gnome Magic Tricks” to keep Barbara aligned with her soul purpose and reminder that her life is in service to Divine Mother and her children, the angel devas  and elementals of earth, air, fire and water.

REMARKS from Barbara:

It is hard to believe I could possibly forget my soul commitment to Mother Earth is all forms of creative expression. Working with Mano and his Blog, my art and my writing, color enriches and nourishes my life.

REMEMBERING Mary Jane:

Mary Jane wrote quite a number of blogs on many aspects of Art. I remember sitting next to her at the foot of the Mother Tree in the Amphitheater seeing her pull out a pad of paper and watercolors to do a Waldorf School veil painting. It was so simple and so beautiful.

This article was written a number of years ago. I loved reading it again last week and decided to share it with you since I feel it is so very important to know what our life is about, what are the promises we have made to God and our spiritual council who has come to help us fulfill the promises we made before we returned to earth.

My Art My Life

Blog #130

Reflecting on an article in Pause for Beauty, Rodrick MacIvar talks about success and failure. He has quotes from famous people who thought of themselves as failures, even when they were acclaimed by the world as successes.

I realize I don’t think like that. My art is my life, it is about me. I will use this stimulus to explore, once again what I am about. Art has been my healer and revealer. My art, my painting, has been a vehicle for me to move into an unknown part of myself and explore. Out of the exploration has come the recognition that my soul calling is to relate with angel and elemental beings in nature.

To think about success or failure seems to relate to how I am seen in the world, what others think of my work. That would be living from the outside in and letting the outside determine my value, worth and success.

As far as I am concerned my success and value stems from the simplicity, “Am I doing the work or not,” when I do sit down to paint; do I do it automatically from my head or do I open my heart and tune in to align with the spirit world before painting?

Actually, who do I open to? Who do I align with? I have never asked this specifically. At first I would just sit quietly for a while and then get up to paint. Now I focus on my heart, asking it to expand; when I feel the expansion I ask my heart to expand again, again, and again, until I feel a connection with another dimension of life which I loosely call God or The Spirit World. Today as I tune in and ask questions, I find it is more specific than I was thinking. I am not simply tuning in to the spirit world, it is more like tuning in to the land, to the Amphitheater, to the earth.

My commitment is about connecting with the beings of this land; the beings of the earth; the beings of the Amphitheater; the Consciousness of Mother Earth who asked me to move from San Luis Obispo to Ben Lomond in 1987 when I heard her voice say, “I don’t need you in San Luis Obispo any longer, I need you  on the mountain.”

I realized my passion is not just to paint. The value of my studio, which is like a temple with a 20-foot vaulted ceiling and a north wall of glass looking into the forest, is not for producing pictures. Its enormous value is that it gives me a sacred space to explore and see what emerges from the inspiration I receive from connecting with the beings on the land.

My art and my writing are to give expression to this connection.

It is important that I record in word and color my inner process of waking to the reality of the nonphysical beings who inhabit the world.

It is important that I build a relationship with these “unsung heroes of humanity.” It is important that I record their energies, it is important that I give physical form to their unformed form.

It is important that I remember to appreciate them, to say thank you. I need to remember there would be no life on earth, no physical bodies to inhabit, no food to eat, no house to live in without the silent loving service these beings of the land, the elemental beings of earth, air, fire and water, constantly contribute to Mother Earth.

Mano, my nature contact has told me that my art is a portal for those non-physical consciousnesses to enter the world of form. The nature beings delight in the process watching colors and shapes create images and pictures. It doesn’t matter if the pictures are large or small, they are grateful for the interaction with a human.

Out of these meandering thoughts I have a deep heart awareness.  My life and art come from a large soul commitment to be part of the New Age that first entered December 22, 2012. My life is about restoring the original plan on earth where Angels, Humans, and Elementals co-create together for their own evolution and the evolution of the planet.

    Happy March Barbara!
A great month to celebrate all the Elementals!
Go Leprechauns!!! This blog makes me stop and give some thought to my own creativeness, my portal for Soul expression. For some people it is very clear what their creative skills, talents, abilities and passions are and then for others it is difficult to find direction or enthusiasm. Many people just can’t or don’t make time to discover and use their creative gifts. You have inspired me to look within and get in touch with my creative side!
    Thank you!
    Love, Light and Creativity,
