Sentimental Journey

Sometime in October each year when the weather has a special magical feeling called Indian Summer my friend Andrea and I take a Sentimental Journey. We drive south to the Monterrey/Carmel coast called the 17 MILE DRIVE. White sandy beach tucked into huge rocks with wild and splashing waves call us to sit and absorb this powerful and magical space where ocean and shore meet. Our next stop is to return to a favorite place, Asilomar Conference Grounds.

What Is A Gnome Anyway?

This is a question many people ask. I am reprinting Mary Jane’s Blog from 2013 with her understanding. My, Barbara’s, simple answer is to simply understand they are Nature Spirits in service to Mother Earth in the realm of air, fire, water, earth.

Two More Stories

Today’s nature stories are two experiences where I related and interacted, 1) with gnomes that appeared in my kitchen when I was baking cookies, and 2) a time five gnomes traveled with me to Ireland. I have two ways I interact with the gnomes. One is ‘A REAL EXPERIENCE’ when I actually see and interact with them outside of me. Other times my interaction with the gnomes is more inside of me. I call this ‘A SEE FEEL EXPERIENCE’, it occurs in my mind and imagination, I am not making it up, it unfolds in front and around me.

Story Time

Mano: I have asked Barbara to share some of the experience we arranged for her to give to you, our readers, things to notice in your life. We are using Barbara to write her experience to stimulate your awareness to the presence of elementals in your life.
Barbara: In two years I will be 100 years old. I am fascinated, charmed, and in awe to have been on the planet so long. Last week I started re-reading my Spiritual Memoir, Living With The Spirits Of The Land. It is Mother Earth that called me to work with her children.

The Nature of Gnomes

I am getting ready to write another book. As I look through old journal entries I see things Mano would like for me to share on his Blog.

This month’s blog comes from a January 2007 entry: In my studio last week I saw a circle of angels lining the four walls of my studio. There was a circle of Faerie beings in front of them and then a circle of elementals. They said, “We have been awaiting your presence. You have recommitted your dedication to fulfill your soul call and life path. This always leads you to your studio and to the Amphitheater. We all serve you and the Goddess of the Amphitheater.”

Celebrating Mother Earth with the Seasons

The year that Jim and I lived at Findhorn and traveled through Europe I discovered that European women were more aware of Mother Earth’s seasons than I knew anything about. As I celebrated the seasons with my friends, I found it added meaning to my daily life and I enjoyed sharing the celebrations with my friends.

Returning home from Europe, I found the daily Tarot often asked me to honor Mother Earth by honoring her Seasons. I do a three card Tarot reading every morning asking my Council to guide my life. Today I am sharing with you the information about the seasons that I have gathered to support my celebration.

Celebrating Mary Jane

As I prepare to write this blog, I am surprised to realize Mano has orchestrated 141 offerings to date. 12 years ago when I refused to write his Blog, Mano suggested I ask Mary Jane if she would do it. She was charmed by his request. She created 68 blogs before she died March 2019.

Relating With House and Yard Angels

I was born in Long Beach California. Grew up in Los Angeles, graduated from UCLA in Westwood, Southern California, and moved with Jim to a charming mountain village in the foothills above Pasadena, Glendale, California. The Los Angeles, So. California fires that are still burning are destroying the homeland of my childhood. My son John was visiting last week and showed me online pictures of the fire. We searched to find the home he grew up in at the edge of the Angeles Forrest.
