Remembering that workshop where I was told more advanced council were part of my team and would come to support me later in life If I agreed to the next Assignment. I realized that would be Mano who joined me when I said yes, when I heard the Spirit voice say, “Barbara I do not need you in San Luis Obispo any longer. I need you on the mountain.”

I had an awareness during a meditation some time in my 40’s. I became aware that I am a member of a spiritual team. I had volunteered to come to the world for a specific work and the other members of my team would stay in the heavenly realms and watch over me and guide my decisions and actions.
I also had the awareness that my life was like a school room and when people were planning on coming to the earth they were guided by a team of teachers to look in on human actions and decisions when choosing what they wanted to do when they entered earth.
Once those awarenesses were given to me they passed out of my mind and I basically forgot what had been revealed to me.
Years later I attended a workshop where the leader was teaching about the interaction between the Angelic and Human Kingdoms. He quoted the Bible in Psalms we are told “God has given his Angels charge over thee to guide thee in all thy ways.” He said everyone has a team of angels who watch over and guide their team member that is living on earth. He then went to each person to tell them about their team.
I was told there were four with me now and if I grew spiritually and my life opened in different ways there were three more advanced angels who would join my team.
He said this was true for everyone who awakened and walked their Spiritual Path.
Next he taught us how to communicate with our Spiritual Team. He had us stand tall, open our hearts to embrace the presence of our Spiritual Team, then ask a question that would have a yes or no answer. Before asking the question, establish whether front to back was yes or no, and establish what side to side indicates as well.
The first time I followed his guidance it was late at night. Jim had not come home from work yet. I became worried and remembered the teachings on asking my team for guidance.
We were told to stand tall, close our eyes, open our heart, feel the presence of our Spiritual team, and ask a question that called for a yes or no answer.
Being concerned for Jim’s safety I asked, Is Jim Safe? At first my body did not move which made me concerned. I asked again and could feel a very slight movement that indicated he was safe. I asked a couple of more questions and the movement became stronger and clearer. I relaxed and trusted, and welcomed Jim home with a big hug.
Over the years I have found other ways to connect with my team for guidance, the most common is using a pendulum—a bead or something on a string that can swing freely back and forth or side by side. I found it best to always reestablish with my team which way is yes and which way is no. Often I ask, “Am I in tune with my higher self,” and “Am I aligned with my Guiding Council?”
Once when shopping I found a beautiful wool suit. I was not looking for this item, and it cost more than I usually pay for clothes. I didn’t have my pendulum with me so I ended up holding the shoe string and using my shoe as a pendulum……I got yes and bought the suit.
Once I learned how to communicate with my Angels, our relationship grew and I became dependent on their guidance.
My current and favorite way to communicate with my team for guidance is to use my hand. This is always with me and can be very inconspicuous. First I open my heart and align with my Council. I hold out my hand and ask, “Give me a yes answer.” Different things can happen maybe a finger will move, or my wrist moves side by side, or the arm moves. Next I ask, “Give me a no answer.” When this communication has been established I move forward with my questions.
I have connected daily with my Council for over 20 years. I learned to be open with their guidance when I was studying the Tarot with Pamela Eakins. She encouraged us to do a daily reading. My Angelic team stepped in at this point to guide me to use the Tarot as a way for deeper connection with them and their guidance.
Every morning I open Council by visualizing my three teachers: Rama my Angel, Mano my Elemental Gnome teacher, and Joseph a member of the Faerie Race. I then ask them for guidance and lay three cards one above the other. I then discern what the cards are saying, type it into the computer, then ask for confirmation and any direction my Team has for me. I have established the habit of referring to any being that lives in the spirit world and relates with me as Angelic. As I bring closure to this Blog I want to heartfully encourage you to explore and identify your Angelic Council. I think Mano just added his word, “Try it…you will like it.”
