Troop of Gnomes by Barbara Thomas

REMINDER from Mano:

The reason I have asked Barbara to write my blog is to reach out to you. It has been my hope that reading Barbara’s story would encourage you to reach out to the elementals in your house and garden. A simple hello means a lot to a nature spirit of air, water, fire, and easiest to reach earth, we could not survive on earth without these spiritual beings. They need our love, appreciation and acceptance.

REMARKS from Barbara:

Reviewing these stories, seeing how much energy has gone into my wake up I feel the inner desire to be more available in ways where I have not taken action before.

REMEMBERING Mary Jane:

I always appreciated how Mary Jane reached out to her community when she found people and events honoring different aspects of nature. Nature Spirits are always the action around and within the activities in nature.

My first experience of actually seeing a gnome happened when my children were young in grade school. It was just before Christmas. I was going to be away for the day and wanted to leave a surprise for the children. I decided to make cookies. Not just ordinary cookies; I decided to use the cookie cutter of a Santa Clause face and red cap. As I rolled out the dough and started cutting out the Santa faces I felt a energy ruffle on the kitchen sink. I looked at that spot and actually saw around six little gnomes sitting on the kitchen counter with their feet dangling over the side. I greeted them in love, welcomed them into my kitchen.

Later when the cookies had cooled down and I was mixing colored icing to create a red hat and shirt and coconut mixed with white icing to create a beard, I felt a excited energy and my attention went back to the counter where I had seen the gnomes. This time they were all dressed in Santa Claus suits, sitting on the counter edge swinging their legs over the side. I heard their thought say, “We always love it when you bake cookies, but when you do something special we love it even more.”

I think of experiences like that, A REAL EXPERIENCE, when I actually see and interact with gnomes outside of me. The other way I interact with them is more inside of me; I call this, A SEE FEEL EXPERIENCE. It unfolds in my mind and imagination. I am not making it up, it unfolds in front and around me in my mind and feelings. (This is a real challenge trying to find words that are accurate to share with you what I ‘see and feel’ in those encounters.)

I finally became a total believer. When I was planning a trip to Ireland, Mano told me he was going to send some of my house gnomes with me to meet some of their fellow companions from the homeland. I didn’t think much about this until at the airport as I was walking to the airplane I felt something behind me. When I turned to see what had caught my attention I saw five little gnomes walking behind me each pulling a little suitcase. When I was getting settled in my seat, I became aware of the five little gnomes bouncing around in the seat in front of me. helping each other fasten their seat belts. Then the motor started and “all hell broke loose.” I had five terrified little gnomes in my lap, shaking with fear, cuddling with me for safety and comfort. With that experience I had no doubt as to the reality of the gnomes that live in my house and interact with me.

Two days later I stayed home to rest instead of going on the afternoon tour planned for the group. I became aware of the little gnomes coming into my room wanting me to go outside with them to show the local gnomes the human they were traveling with, “their human.” Their pleading was so sincere I agreed to go with them. I sat on the garden swing and waited. Nothing happened as far as I could tell. I got the impression my presence was enough to prove to the local gnomes this group of “foreigners” were telling the truth.

Later I got so involved with Irish ancient sights, Neolithic monuments and experiences of remembering places I had once loved I forgot all about the little gnomes. We visited Lough Crew, an ancient Ceremonial Cairn where at a certain time of the year the sun entered the Cavern and local people came to honor the Great Mother in this time of illumination.

As I entered this Cairn I put my hand on the entrance stone. It was carved with strange markings. I was amazed I recognized these markings and started crying saying, “I have come back, I promised you I would come back”. I laid on the floor and cried. Still crying I left the cairn and lay down on the wet grass, in a very light drizzle to let the tears and depth of feeling subside. In memory as I relive that scene, I am aware my sweet little gnome companions were around me patting my body to comfort me. At last my inner storm passed and I sat up and looked over the distant Irish landscape to see and receive a blessing from a double rainbow covering the whole of the Irish landscape in front of me.

I am so grateful to Mano and my Council for their patience and continual attention to give me experiences and teachings to become a believer so I can fulfill the role they desire of me. I share with you a letter Mano once wrote:

We can no longer go on alone. We are in deep need of the feeding we receive from interacting with the human kingdom, and you are in deep need of us to sustain your lives by interacting with nature.

Our simplest request is to recognize the life force within soil, water, and the green and growing things as a living being. Speak to us, relate with us, and if you have use of our bodies, give thanks for that gift.

    Happy August Barbara!
I enjoyed the two stories very much. Thank you. I have met people who are able to see and communicate with Gnomes and other Elementals. Perhaps in one your blogs, you and Mano could share the best way for others to see and speak with the Gnomes in their homes and gardens. I have been told that the Pineal Gland must be open at least 20% before you can see them.
    Have a wonderful birthday 🎁 🎉 🎂 Hugs 🤗
